A shingled roof ridge and chimney against an evening sky

Not every storm means a new roof.

Half our inspections end with us saying your roof is fine. The other half end with photos, a written price, and a repair or a roof that outlives the mortgage. Either way you learn the truth about your own house.

What the inspection covers

Forty minutes on and under your roof, and you get every photo we take, whether or not you hire us.

Shingles & coursesLifted tabs, granule loss, nail pops, the age the roof is actually acting
Flashing & valleysWhere roofs really leak: chimneys, step flashing, dead valleys
Ridge & ventilationCaps, ridge vent, and whether your attic can breathe
Attic sideStains, daylight, insulation matting; the ceiling tells on the roof
Gutters & edgesDrip edge, fascia rot, and where the water is being sent

The report ends in one of three sentences: it's fine, it needs a repair, or it needs a roof. We put the sentence at the top, not after ten pages.

About the trucks that follow the hail

After a hail storm your street will fill with out-of-state trucks offering free roofs. Some are legitimate. Ask any of them the same question you can ask us: who will be here in five years when a ridge cap lifts? Our answer is in the company name.

When it is a roof

Architectural shingle, standing-seam metal, or flat-roof membrane, each with the manufacturer warranty registered in your name before we invoice the final draw. The registration card comes stapled to the invoice; put it with the passports.
