Service, plainly priced
A diagnostic visit is $95 and comes off the repair when we do the work. Repairs are quoted from the book before a wrench comes out, so the number never depends on how the day is going.
What a tune-up actually includes
Not a glance and a sticker. Fall: heat exchanger inspected with a camera, burners cleaned, gas pressure and CO measured, blower pulled if it needs it. Spring: coils cleaned, refrigerant charge verified by measurement, capacitors tested under load, condensate line cleared before it floods your ceiling in August. Numbers written on the unit in sharpie, dated, like a pilot's logbook.
Common repairs
Capacitor $180 to $240 · blower motor $450 to $700 · ignitor $210 to $280 · condensate pump $260. If the part is under manufacturer warranty we say so and you pay labor only; that discovery is part of the diagnostic, not a favor.
Replacement, when the math says so
Furnace from $5,800 · heat pump system from $9,500 · central AC from $6,400 · mini split, one head from $4,200. Every quote includes the load calculation, two options (the sensible one and the quiet-and-efficient one), and removal of the old unit. Nobody calls you "boss" during any of it.
Both seasonal visits, filters included, priority line in heat waves and cold snaps, 10% off repairs, and the punch card. Cancel whenever; the punches you paid for still count.
Duct cleaning: we only recommend it after renovation dust or visible growth, because that is when it does anything. If someone quotes it to you annually, ask them what exactly they think returns to your ducts each year.
