We are a food pantry and a weekly community supper in the basement of the old Grange Hall. No forms to qualify, no questions you would not ask a neighbor. Take what your week needs; give what your week can spare.

This is the actual list taped up by the pantry door, updated every Monday. If you can grab one of these on your regular shop, that is the donation we need most. Drop-offs land in the bin by the door, any open hours.

Started with one long table

In 2011 a few neighbors started cooking on Wednesdays because the Grange Hall had a kitchen nobody was using and a winter nobody was enjoying. The pantry came later, when we noticed people were quietly taking leftovers home for the week.

Nobody signs in, nobody proves anything. Hungry is the only qualification we recognize.

Today about ninety households shop the pantry in a given week and the Wednesday supper runs forty to sixty plates. The table is the same one from 2011. It has been extended twice.

Rent is one dollar a year and the Grange knows exactly what it is doing by charging it. Utilities are our biggest quiet cost.
