Come stand in the garden

Photographs do half the job. The other half is standing on the veranda at five o'clock, which no website has figured out how to send you. Tours take about an hour and end with tea in the hall.

Tours Thursday through Sunday, by appointment. Evenings can be arranged in summer, and honestly they are the best ones.

Finding the house

1 Hartwell Lane, off the Millbrook Road. The lane is unmarked except for a brick pillar and a lantern; when the hedges close in around you, you are nearly there.

If you are already dressed up from another venue's open house, come anyway. We will not make you wear a name tag.
